Review: P.J. Hamel’s Blog
December 8, 2008 by nygal · Leave a Comment
P.J. Hamel is a writer, mother, wife, volunteer, and breast cancer survivor. She joins the breast cancer community bringing her stories, wisdom and optimism.
P.J. has been writing ever since she learned how to shape letters by copying the big A-B-C chart marching across the top of the blackboard in Mrs. Gardner’s first grade classroom.
When P.J. was a child she wrote fairy tales, poems and published a junior high underground newspaper. In college she wrote for the school paper. Since being in the working world, P.J. has never earned her living any other way but by writing.
She is very pleased to turn her hand to blogging, particularly blogging about breast cancer, and how it intersects with a woman’s life, turning it upside down and inside out before (hopefully) retreating into a dark dead-end at the end of some obscure capillary trail, never to return… hopefully.

Life with Breast Cancer
June 26, 2008 by admin · 2 Comments
Kathy-Ellen Kups posts pretty frequently about her daily experiences while battling breast cancer. She is extremely thoughtful and determined and has a lot to say about many subjects, both related and unrelated to cancer. Her stories are extremely inspirational and we wish her much luck at she battles her disease.
A recent post chronicles the terrible experiences of her friend who was denied a much needed MRI by his health insurance company. In another blog post she explains how impressed she has become with Hillary Clinton and theorizes how she “would have been the commander of the final battle that beat cancer if she became President of the United States.” Pretty heady stuff.
Please head over to Kathy-Ellen’s blog and join us in wishing her only the best. She has a great blog and we highly recommend it!
